Comic Strip Cast's Actors In Reverse Order Of Appearance

  Jennis Runge (wolf type)
Jenny (the shaggy wolf lady, not Jennifer the cat) got into the Tally Road crew when her son Micky landed the role Little Anarchist Boy. She was impressed with the way Micky was handled, and when she heard that the show was expanding outwards into more adult content, she decided to take a chance and tried out for a role opposite new arrival Alison. Alison read with her, and more or less demanded that Jenny be given the part of the whorehouse straw boss on the strength of the reading. The two formed a little sub-cast to themselves, working at getting their scenes to be the best possible. As late additions, they are still getting to know the rest of the cast, and trying to figure out the situation they're in.

  Daucery (Cery) Nerre (cat type)
Jennifer is quick to mention that her body is not as well used as Daucery's- but apart from that, there's quite a resemblance. Jennifer actually was the first castmember to have sex onscreen, back in the very first days- she posed in silhouette in the background of a Rai/Boodins scene, and took on Bob the Extra Wolf. Jennifer says, "That scream wasn't really acting, you know. I was just settling down onto Bob, and my paw slipped on a piece of paper on the floor. Scrunch! I let them get through the take, Jinx yelled cut, and I was like, fuckin OW! I'll be in my trailer! I'm NOT Daucery. Nobody's that jaded."

  Allindme (Allie) Runge (wolf type)
Alison was a late arrival to the cast. She turned up and talked her way into a major part, saying that she was going to be able to really bring something to the story, and that she was fearless and would take on anything we could script. It turned out she wasn't fooling. Alison grips her Allie role in an iron paw, and helped to greatly increase Tally Road's audience by hooking them with shocking sadomasochistic drama and explicit showing of all parts of her body- and then holding them with an emotional, vulnerable performance. She really knows how Allie would react, and is careful to grow the character in ways she thinks are important. Working with Alison is challenging, because she expects that everyone keep up to her standards, including the cartoonist's rendering- but when you want star quality, you have to pay, and Alison is certain of her own quality.

  Finn Blenstrom Runge (wolf type)
Joe was discovered as a bodybuilder, but he wanted to be an actor- and it turned out he had an amazing performance range that we probably haven't even begun to exploit. He was also very worried about his rather odd equipment, and admitted the truth about it at a tense script read-through, only to be startled by the cast's wild curiosity. He wrote some of his lines himself, or with the suggestions of other actors. He also got taken to bed by at least three female cast members and Miles, who apparently pressured him into trying males with every argument in the book and expressed delight with the results. Joe remains a little flustered by the enthusiasm, and doesn't take advantage of it often. He and Scott get together from time to time and discuss how to portray the consummation between Finn and Perre. They say they might start laughing in takes, but "that's not necessarily wrong".

  Derrz Runge (wolf type)
Loving father of Arcadia, total sweetheart on the set, gentle and attentive lover according to the few who have persuaded him, terrifying monster of creepy moral depravity on-screen- our cast member Adrian. Those who know him only through his Tally Road role 'Derrz' would never make the connection that he's the father of Little Anarchist Girl, the blonde wolf cub- but the sweetness she conveys on the screen, he exhibits offstage. At dailies one day, Deanna was sitting next to him, holding hands. As Derrz on the screen disintegrated into a puddle of cringing, threatening creepy evilness held against the wall, Deanna became so alarmed she was heard to say "Ade, cut it out!". Adrian's response? He cracked up laughing, and not evil laughter either.

Second Guard at Finn's Base Runge (wolf type)
Bob The Extra Wolf before dye job, shot out of sequence...

Hijacked Flatbed truck Driver Runge (wolf type)
Bob the Extra Wolf comes through once again! It's actually Bob, with a dye job to turn him black, and a pink nose-piece. He swears he's unrecognizable and vows he will think of more disguises and be the wolf of a million faces, all of them generic...

  Perre Estrai (fox type)
Scott's a neat guy- he builds radio controlled airplanes and wants to help the cartoonist make real models of all the Tally Road vehicles that appear. He says he is 'cheerfully bisexual' and has no trouble playing a lovesick Estrai, and the only trouble is the fur-grooming for the role. "Do the math. I HAVE fur. You can't grow a beard through fur, that's ridiculous. We tried it in a screen test and it made the character's look, so I'm stuck with it- every week I top-up the picky little dye job they use to simulate stubble on top of fur. Yay show business! What can I say, it is the look, we all agreed on it. I get weird looks in stores. Or banks..."

  Demarle Nerre (cat type)
Sabienne says she was named after a cymbal because God knew she was gonna be brassy, and that it was misspelled because she was going to get everything else wrong. It's amazing how much confidence she can put into the Demarle role considering the big white Persian is our least secure actor... Sabienne tends to need hugs, reassurance, keeps Maggie quite busy looking after her because even in her personal life she is prone to meltdowns. We're tactfully keeping an eye out for any male cast members who might fall in love with her, because Sabienne needs a sex life but continually freaks out and thinks she's getting pity-fucks. Mike says, "Actually she's great, she feels great, gotta love those huge Persian jugs and white fluffy thundaaa... but God help you when it's time to go back to your room, dude. Emo black hole." Nevertheless none of us will give up on her.

Elistary Brinmont Doestral Evensring (Relf) Resten (dog type)
Caroline is our Elistary, and she is quite a find. She's not a trained actress- but she's been getting coaching from our more experienced cast members, notably Alison (Allie) and has carried off several Big Scenes with aplomb. Caroline says she's studying physical action with Ngoen Mai (Rairate) and she's spent hours talking with Maggie about what it's like to take on adult-rated roles, and face society as someone whose genitals have been on screen. Maggie says she's not sure Caroline is temperamentally suited to blue work but it shouldn't matter- we have enough use for the Elistary character clothed, and anyhow she could even work a domming scene fully clothed and it would work. Caroline's a real sweetie and will keep us posted as to what kinds of scenes she'll take on.

  Alonifi Nerre (cat type)
Fa Ying is a feline 'little person' playing a barely pubescent meow- and we must admit our canon storyline can be echoed by off-stage storyline damn near indistinguishable. Fa brings her own strong personality to her role of Nifi, and is avid to rival Maggie in the intensity of onscreen lovemaking- she's all pumped up about little-kitty rights to not be infantilized- but if she carries on with some of our actors she won't look right when the time comes to do those scenes. Maggie watches her, believing that she is- well, in Maggie's words, "Her eyes are way the hell bigger than her pussy and she's not gonna injure herself backstage on MY set". Fa concedes some truth to this, and sulks- but so far, life imitates art, and Fa has not been widened. Maggie says she carries on with Deanna sometimes.

  Faisand Nerre (cat type)
Yvonne is a true lady. She brings a sense of calm and collectedness to the set, even though she can exude anxiety like crazy in a role- when the shot ends, she's back to almost old world charm. Yvonne gets slight old-age makeup to play Faisand, which she's never complained of. She is married to Vladimir, who plays Anzende Ndeschwin the cop.

Anarchist Road Rage Guy Runge (wolf type)
Michael didn't stick around due to differences with the production. He turned up with the attitude of a lupine superstar, and the very first day he worked the cartoonist was sick and unable to perform acceptably. Michael hit the roof, demanding better cartooning, and gave a very good performance including earflattening quite a bit better than the production was usually able to portray at the time. He appears in the last watercolored Tally Road, and when told the production was changing to ink wash, he hit the roof again and quit. In the following strip, the car is actually being driven by Bob the Extra Wolf, with a light shining on the windshield making it hard to tell he wasn't Michael.

Anarchist Lab Assistant Runge (wolf type)
Richard here is actually a lighting director, but he had just the right cynical air to take this part. There were a couple of line flubs, but it was well worth it even though he is not a professional actor. We just had to coach him as to where to look, what to do with his hands and so on.

  Anarchist Scientist Runge (wolf type)
Jerry got cast when we couldn't find a convincing scientist to save our lives- we went to technical companies and looked at real scientists and asked them if they were okay playing a bit part in a yiff comic. Once we explained what that was, most of them said no, but Jerry said yes. He was a bit puzzled that there was no 'yiff' around, though he explained he was married and just wanted to see what it was like. Hearing about this, Deanna and Jennifer naked-pounced him, shocking the hell out of the poor guy. He left grinning madly and asking plainitively that we not tell his wife...

Lil' Anarchist Boy Runge (wolf type)
Micky played our little Anarchist Boy with great character, and worked his tail off at it, getting the lines just the way we wanted. Off-screen, he's a huge fan of tacos, Sloppy Joes, and Nintendo DS. He's the son of Jenny (not Jennifer the cat, Jenny the shaggy wolf lady) who plays Jennis.

Lil' Anarchist Girl Runge (wolf type)
Arcadia played the adorable innocent little Anarchist Girl so effectively that it tends to shock the hell out of people that she's the daughter of Adrian- better known as 'Derrz'! Once you know, the resemblance is unmistakable. People who only know Adrian from his film roles cannot believe such a sweet kid came from the scary movie-monster, and talk of interventions- the joke is on them, however.

Lead Anarchist Biker Runge (wolf type)
Arthur was a really good day player- when we shot the scene with him making love to Rai, our Miles (Etze, the chef) was quite offended, because the thing is, Ngoen (Rairate) is not gay, and neither is Arthur. Miles swore it was totally unfair to have real het sex but the gay sex was fake- but the scene was totally convincing regardless. Miles chilled out when shooting was done- Ngoen ended up slightly aroused, Arthur not even slightly. Ngoen says this proves he's both broadminded and a fine method actor, and Miles teased him for a week thereafter.

Voustrets Talanstre Laimontre Estrai (fox type)
Vincent is great to work with- a fearsomely disciplined actor, he delivers exactly the performance you look for, every single time, until the shot's done. His timing is so tight you could set a watch by it, and inflection likewise. He drinks espresso coffee, and sits and reads- or plays chess, at which he demolishes all comers expressionlessly. Don't call him Vince or he will politely, patiently correct you that it's 'Vincent', a thousand times if necessary. Vincent is a little spooky, but a real gift to the production.

  Anzende Ndeschwin Runge (wolf type)
Vladimir says he got the part of Anzende because of prematurely graying muzzle- which is our lucky break, as Vlad is a lot more athletic than he looks. His natural voice isn't as Skid Row as the one he affects for the part, but no electronic trickery is used on it- he's a basso and just pitches it that way. Deanna is always trying to get him to talk in character, claiming she orgasms from the vibrations. Vlad isn't sure what to make of that- he chooses not to give Deanna orgasms in other ways, because he's happily married to Yvonne who plays Faisand. Their scenes are all the realer for the offscreen bond bringing them conviction.

Bent the AE Runge (wolf type)
Timo played Bent for us, and not only that, helped write the part. He's a heavy metal sound engineer who doesn't normally work with half-naked vixens- as he says, "Most of the guys I work with, you wouldn't want 'em to take their clothes off, trust me". He came up with the line, "Can you dress up like an expensive microphone?" which he says is "all too fuckin' true, sadly. Ahhh me."

  Singer Vixen Estrai (fox type)
Allyson- NOT 'Alison' (who plays Allie) played our singer vixen. It was great working with her- such a striking character, flamboyant and voluptuous and with that gravelly lady voice- her presence tends to take over a scene, but we'd love to have her back anytime we can script her in. She says, "Honey, I ain't fuckin' anybody onscreen, but anything shy of that, bring it on- you guys are a lot of fun". She hung out with Deanna and Jennifer a lot when she was on the show.

  Sergeant Nutzhak Runge (wolf type)
Bob the Extra Wuf takes on some stunt work! He actually lost a front tooth in the fall when Ngoen tripped him, because he tumbled so incautiously. Tally Road covered all the dental work but declined to let him get a gold tooth because he's such a recurring cast member and needs to be somewhat nondescript...

  Magarce Nerre (cat type)
Maggie. Adult comic actress extraordinaire, longtime cartoonist's favorite, previously appearing in the book 'Aquarius'- the part of Magarce was created around her strengths and proclivities. Due to her diminutive size, some of her scenes are special effects- notably, getting knotted on the back of the flatbed truck. Maggie notes that some of her scenes with Mike (Boodins) are real, but ties with him have to go the duration lest she risk serious damage, and she does not encourage anybody to try re-enacting such scenes at home unless they are a lot bigger. Maggie tends to keep a wary eye on the activity on the Tally Road set, acting sort of like the den mother, and is deft at sorting out awkward situations. She is also a cheerful nudist, and mad for Earl Grey tea.

Kran, a street thug Runge (wolf type)
Say hi to Bob the Extra Wuf again! Bob did a terrific job conveying the panic in this action scene.

Berk, a street thug Runge (wolf type)
Charles did a terrific job with this role, normally works as a stunt wolf- asked not to be called back for other roles, because Deanna and Jennifer pranked him by trying to ball him spontaneously and simultaneously- the gag was, they wouldn't be able to decide who would go first- and discovered that his religious beliefs did not coexist with such wanton play. Thankfully he had shot the scene and didn't object to its airing, but he was pretty appalled.

Etze, the Head Chef Estrai (fox type)
Miles is a real character- a very sharp, disciplined actor, off the set he's anything but disciplined. He likes hanging out with Deanna, but is extremely gay and won't even show up on the set on days when female nudity or sex are shot. So Deanna chases him off any time that is needed by flashing her tits or puss at him, causing merry shrieks of horror from the fleeing fox. He has also tried hard to bed Jascha to the point that Deanna served as Jascha's topless bodyguard briefly...

Jens, the Sous Chef Runge (wolf type)
Jascha is well-loved by the whole cast- though he has difficulty learning lines, the wuffie giant is a real sweetheart. He's not a natural actor, but his earnest, simple delivery suited the sous-chef role perfectly, and some of the more playful actors are determined to get him into an adult scene, which he politely refuses to do.

Denenke (Dene) Tieschtet Runge (wolf type)
Deanna swears that she got the role of Dene by stealing it- the role called for a scrawny nerdly wolf girl, so Deanna stayed up all night, wore a Tux t-shirt, and turned up at the casting call with the intention of not revealing her true species. She is German Shepherd on her father's side, and Coyote on her mother's side. Deanna is the production's prankster extraordinare, and resident party animal. She promises not to let this intrude after the incident of Strip 180- in which not all of Deanna can be shown in the frame, because she was tied to Mike and couldn't get free to do the take. The chastened look was entirely deserved.

  Boodins Earncy Resten (dog type)
Mike gets a huge kick out of his Tally Road role- he says it makes him feel like he really is a teenager again. Though some cast members find him a little bit overbearing, he never fails to show up early to the set, and takes a great deal of trouble to look after his appearance, his acting, and his startling doggy-dick. That's quite real- no special effects- and my does he know it.

  Rairate Taistronn Nerre (cat type)
Ngoen Mai sought employment at Tally Road not for adult work- in fact he has not had onscreen sex, it was simulated through posing- but to practice his martial arts skills. He wishes to invent a new school dedicated to fighting with claws. The razor implants, however, are actually plastic and he goes through dozens of the things in each combat scene. In fact, in the scene where he takes off the end of a stick it can be plainly seen that the implants are not there- pieces of flying plastic kept getting in the shot.

  Lanste Nerre (cat type)
Lanste was actually played by Jennifer who plays Daucery in the show- and yes, that's Bob the Extra Wolf in the shadows! Jennifer says her cry wasn't entirely acting. She hastens to point out that she is not as roomy as Daucery, as she has not had nearly as much knotty sex.

  Carjacker Wolf Runge (wolf type)
Bob the Extra Wuf is great- he'll do anything for the show! Bob keeps on playing bit parts when he's not building sets.

  Siertes Tompar (snake/lizard type)
Sarah likes working out and dancing, and has requested that she not actually engage in any erotic activity in Tally Road- but she's good for action and drama scenes, and never fails to give a compelling performance.
