SFW LANDING PAGE- SKIP TO NORMAL HOMEPAGE

Hi!

You met me at a very strange time in my life… ;)

In June 2008, I began drawing a webcomic, inspired by several webcomic podcasts and a desire to learn new things. I was already earning a living on the internet with audio software plugins, and I had written several books that were well received. How hard could it be?

Four hundred and forty-two updates later, having taken this comic to where I was drawing half-decently, coloring and shading and lighting in Photoshop daily, and writing for visual storytelling well enough to pull hundreds of readers daily, I threw up my paws and went over to a literary form and simply continued telling the story without ever missing an update. The literary form lives at jinxtigr.com and still updates daily, in novel form, online. It was just getting too hard to face another day of drawing. (All my life, I’ve read voraciously and written, but never doodled: to do a serious webcomic, I’d need to team up with an artist to do it properly.)

This site is where the comic is preserved. There are several possible entry points if you’re a new reader, depending on what you expect to find.

If you just want to start from the beginning, primitive art and all, and get all the backstory you can, you can go to the first strip, 300K West of Kiesens.

Ambition set in for a first attempt at color- at a time when I was starting to do neat things with panel layout (which became a favorite part of cartooning). To skip ahead to where things started to take a permanent form, you could go to Viez where many continuing plot points are already underway.

Tally Road became notorious and gave some people nightmares when it took a ‘what the heck’ swerve into adult cartooning: since it is a furry comic, some of the imagery was peculiarly horrifying to non-furries (and peculiarly delightful to furries!). If you want to skip straight up to the naughty pictures, you can jump in at What Happened To Boodins?

Things took a darker, rather Jack-inspired turn with the arc Finn’s Base, with the introduction of new characters and very intense situations.

Finally, the strip rejoined Magarce and fellow criminals for a final, intensely cinematically staged action sequence that rendered them forever outlaw in Setting: Ext. Ungovernment Base, an arc that had dropped below daily update frequency, but was illustrated in full color with shading and lighting in Photoshop. And with that final burst of effort, the comic version of the story ended.

It’s not impossible that further pictures will happen, but there’s not going to be any attempt to relaunch Tally Road in comic form. A smaller but very special audience is reading the ongoing book form of the story as it continues at jinxtigr.com, and the comic form will stay here. If I need to draw licentious kitties misbehaving with inappropriate partners, this will always be the place where, no matter what I draw, I’ll have drawn something worse during the run of the comic :)

Welcome to the G-Spot of the internet: a private place you should never see outside the privacy of your bedroom, subject of fierce contention, craved by some and inspiring horror in others. Yes- in reading this comic, you met me at a very strange time in my life :)
