WHY??
A fair question that has been asked at various times is: FFS, why are you drawing these things?
Partly it’s because I like them. I’m a furry, I think people would be better if their legs bent differently and they had fur and tails. I realize this causes some people nightmares, but I’m not particularly sorry. I can be discouraged by lots of hate, but it doesn’t make me sorry.
Partly it’s because I’m a writer, and drama comes from characters wanting things very badly and having serious problems getting them. This works just as well in sexual contexts. If you want to do interesting yiff writing, then have your characters’ problems only worsen when they get their clothes off.
Partly it’s because I wanted some attention- put an X on your rating at a comic-listing site, and people will certainly go look. Many people have tried this with less success than I had- see the bit above about ‘writing’. FurAffinity has much more naked furry porn, for anyone willing to make an account and log in.
But mostly it’s because I always looked for a comic story like this. I thought there should be one, but I couldn’t draw. Eventually I did it anyway, stressed out terribly, learned discipline, and eventually burned out just when I had things sorta-kinda under control. I got ‘my comic style’ into a sort of zone with ink-wash shading, though it’s not a style I can really do daily at the time I was doing it- and escalated madly into full textured, lit and shaded Photoshop full-color, almost daily.
It was too much- but it was interesting to go through, and I might visit stuff like that again if I feel like it.
